The Philadelphia 76ers are facing a major issue within their squad for which there does not appear to be a clear answer. This may be the biggest NBA saga to date.
It has become obvious that James Harden no longer wants to play for the 76ers.
He has requested a trade and was hoping to get dealt before the season began.
But, the 76ers do not plan on just giving him away for nothing.
So both Harden and the team are in a standoff right now.
Even so, Harden still planned on traveling with the team for their season-opening road trip.
But, the 76ers do not want Harden around the rest of the players.
According to Chris Haynes via Legion Hoops, Harden was denied entry on the team plane by security.
This move by the team makes it all but certain that Harden will never play for the Sixers again.
You can bet trade talks with other teams will ramp up as the 76ers hope to move the disgruntled point guard.
The team must feel that Harden will provide more harm than good if he is around.
This situation has taken a turn for the worst this offseason but the Sixers must put it behind them.
Philadelphia still has the reigning league MVP in Joel Embiid and has a chance to be one of the top teams in the conference.
faster they can be done with this Harden saga the better it will be for their long-term outlook.
