FLW’s Leicester fan pundit has discussed James Maddison’s performances since joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Last season, Leicester City were relegated to the Championship, which resulted in a number of high-profile departures from the first-team squad.
During his five years with the Foxes, James Maddison was a standout performer, but he was sold to Tottenham for a rumoured £40 million cost as a result of their relegation to the second tier.
The 26-year-old has received numerous accolades since joining Spurs, who are presently atop the Premier League table under Ange Postecoglou.
Maddison has two goals and five assists in the first eight games of the new season.
How has James Maddison fared since joining Tottenham from Leicester City?
Jayden Whitworth, a Leicester fan commentator for FLW, is pleased to see Maddison doing well in the Premier League, stating he was too good for the Championship.
He did, however, express his dissatisfaction with the playmaker receiving more recognition now that he is at Spurs, as opposed to when he was performing as brilliantly for the Foxes.
The Tottenham move irritated me, not because he’s merely playing for Tottenham, which is wonderful, but because he was far too excellent to be playing in the Championship,” Whitworth told Football League World.
“But it’s more that the media suddenly thinks he’s a world beater.”
“We were watching him at Leicester week in and week out, putting in these performances every week in a poor Leicester side.”
“So it just re-affirms that Big Six bias, that he’s moved to Tottenham now and all of a sudden he’s one of the first names on the team sheet, in the England squad, he’s winning player of the month, and it’s just that we’ve been seeing that week in and week out.
We knew he was good, but because he played for small old Leicester, he didn’t have much of a chance.
“Maddison probably deserved the move, and I’m happy that he’s absolutely killing it at Tottenham.
