Within a day of adding four new players during the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, HAWTHORN delisted Lachie Bramble, Fergus Greene, and Ned Long.
On Deadline Day, the Hawks acquired the forwards Jack Gunston, Jack Ginnivan, and Mabior Chol. In the waning moments of the trade window on Wednesday, they also acquired former Essendon youngster Massimo D’Ambrosio.
Greene, a former Western Bulldog, kicked 15 goals from 11 games after joining the Hawks as a delisted free agent at the end of 2022.
Bramble managed 30 games in three seasons after being recruited during the pre-season supplemental selection period ahead of 2021, while Long played five games in two seasons after being drafted in the 2021 rookie draft.
Mark McKenzie, the manager of the Hawthorn list, commended the group for their work.

Emerson Jeka, Josh Morris, and Fionn O’Hara have already been taken off the Hawks’ roster, and Max Lynch, a ruckman who had several concussions, retired on medical advice.
