The Los Angeles Chargers are looking for explanations after a second loss this past week. They had hoped that their problems were resolved, but after two straight defeats, they are once again in the spotlight. The Bolts now play the Chicago Bears, a squad that Los Angeles should have no trouble defeating. However, you shouldn’t count on the Chargers to win.

Chargers fans should be worried about their team right now whether a favorite, an underdog or a pick ’em. The Chargers defensively continue to disappoint, and their offense has sputtered over the last 2 1/2 games. Quarterback Justin Herbert, who is dealing with a broken left middle finger, has not been his typical self of late. Against the Bears, the Chargers opened as nearly double-digit favorites, which seems wildly off target given their recent play.”

While the Bolts should be favorites in this game against Chicago, they can’t overlook the Bears. LA has consistently played down to their opponents, and if they do it again, they will find themselves in a battle that they never wanted to be in.

The Chargers can’t afford another loss here, so they will need to make sure that they come in prepared for this matchup. Sitting at 2-4 on the year, the Chargers have very little margin for error, especially being in the AFC. The old saying of any given Sunday still rings true to this day. In fact, just last week we saw multiple upsets around the NFL. “Buffalo just lost to 1-5 New England. Detroit, at 5-1, got stomped so fast by Baltimore, the Lions were out of it by halftime. There are no sure things this season, and particularly not with a Chargers team that gets wobbly down the stretch

It might be the end for LA if they become complacent or don’t take the Bears seriously. Their season would virtually be over if they lost this game. This is their opportunity to at least begin putting themselves back into the running.
