The AFLW draft has been scheduled for Monday, December 18, and a live ceremony at Marvel Stadium will welcome the newest class of female football players to the league.
Prospective draft picks will once more have the option to nominate for a national pool, making them available for selection by any of the 18 AFLW clubs.
Additionally, prospects can suggest the draft pool for their home state.
Players can switch clubs during the trade period, which runs from Thursday, December 7 through Thursday, December 14, before the draft. There won’t be a preferential signing period like there was last year.
But before the focus turns to the 2024 season, 2023’s best and brightest will be crowned at the W Awards on Monday, November 27 ahead of the 2023 NAB AFLW Grand Final on Sunday, December 3.
There’ll be no rest for clubs though, with the trade period opening just four days later.
