Everton’s academy has produced some excellent players over the years, and there may be another rising talent to keep an eye on.
Everton produced one of the best attackers in Premier League history in Wayne Rooney 20 years ago, and while the academy has had some success since, no striker has been as deadly as the former England captain.
Who exactly is George Morgan?
The 17-year-old was born in Milton Keynes but has Welsh ancestors. He has four under-18 caps to his name.
At 1.83m tall, he has a physical presence akin to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, one of Morgan’s inspirations, but the teenager also possesses devastating speed.
The Guardian labeled him as “fast,” and drew analogies to Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski.
With his combination of accurate finishing, quickness, and intelligent movement, the 35-year-old established himself as one of the best attackers of his generation at Bayern Munich over the last decade, proving dangerous both domestically and in Europe.
