West Ham are still planning for the January transfer window, and forwards are being sought.

It has been a promising start to the season for our Hammers, with the club currently sitting in the top 7 of the Premier League whilst also leading Group A in the Europa League.

But the club aren’t sitting still, and are intending to aim to strengthen the squad in the new year, with a striker earmarked as a position the transfer committee is seeking to explore.

As has been reported previously by our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex, the club having been working to identify targets for January, with Tim Steidten deploying his scouting team across Europe.

Ex reported exclusively earlier this week that the club have identified a potential target in VfB Stuggart striker Serhou Guirassy, with the Guinea international in stunning form so far this season – recording 10 goals in gbe opening 6 Bundesliga matches played so far.

“The club have identified Guirassy having heavily scouted the player recently, and are currently focused on exploring a potential move for the player – with January a likely time to launch a move.

“He’s been in stunning form this season, and being 27 – he’s at the prime of his career and could be seen as someone to make an instant impact should he be signed by the club.”

Ex also stated that summer target Hugo Ekitiké is still on the radar, with the midfielder seeming increasingly likely to leave PSG in the coming months – but West Ham will face competition for both players if official moves are made in January.

Ex will exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon keep fans up to date on the development of the moves as they proceed.
