According to reports, Brett Morris will begin leading the Roosters’ NSW Cup team in 2024.
Morris will be taking on his first head coaching position after serving as Trent Robinson’s assistant since 2022.
Morris isn’t the only staff member move at the Roosters, according to The Daily Telegraph, as Simon Jones has been appointed as their new head of performance.
Former Titans coach Justin Holbrook will also be apart of the new-look staff at the Roosters, signing with the Tricolours as an assistant from next season.
Morris played 281 NRL games across 16 seasons, finishing his career at the Roosters in 2021.
Morris replaces Anthony Barnes as Roosters’ NSW Cup coach.
Barnes led the reserve grade side to a 5-14 season, however, the Roosters NSW Cup team was utilised more as a developmental pathway side in 2023 with the North Sydney Bears acting as the Roosters’ main feeder club.
