The Jaguars have made moves to strengthen their offensive line.
The Jaguars acquired Ezra Cleveland, an offensive lineman who has started 49 games for the Minnesota Vikings in four NFL seasons, in a trade on Tuesday. The deal was announced Tuesday afternoon, along with the release of fourth-year offensive lineman Ben Bartch.
The NFL’s trade 2023 deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Cleveland was a second-round selection (No. 58 overall) by the Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft, playing his first two NFL seasons for Jaguars offensive line coach Phil Rauscher. He has played in 53 games and started 40 consecutive games before missing the last two games with a foot injury.
The Jaguars have dealt with injuries at left guard this season, with Bartch starting the first three games and Tyler Shatley starting Week 4. Walker Little started Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills, with Shatley returning to the lineup the last two weeks after Little sustained a knee injury against the Bills.
