The latest Leicester City news is that Harry Souttar is considering returning to the starting lineup after being benched by Enzo Maresca.
Leicester City defender Harry Souttar was “over the moon” to be named to the starting lineup against Stoke City.
Last Saturday, Souttar made his first league start of the season, playing the entire 90 minutes as Leicester defeated his previous team 2-0, thanks to goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy. Souttar had no idea he’d be starting, and he’s spoken out about how that affected him.
The defender was speaking as he and his Australia teammates prepared to face England in a friendly on Friday (October 13) at Wembley Stadium. Souttar has returned to the fold after being dropped by Enzo Maresca during the summer transfer window, and he will be hoping to carry that momentum into the international break.
“Obviously, I played a cup game a couple of weeks ago (against Liverpool), but that was my first league start of the season,” he remarked. To be honest, I’m completely over the moon.
