Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to return to the Liverpool starting lineup against Brighton.

The right-back made his first start in over a month against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League on Thursday, playing just over an hour in the 2-0 win, and will be ready to do so again three days later. Darwin Nunez also put any fitness concerns to rest by starting against the Belgians.

U that is where the good news ends for Jurgen Klopp. He will be without both Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones following their red cards against Tottenham last time out, and has another three out injured.

Cody Gakpo scored in north London but injured himself in the process, so will sit out the trip to the south coast, while Thiago Alcantara remains sidelined and Stefan Bajcetic has suffered a setback on his road to recovery.

Liverpool predicted XI:

Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Endo, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
