Trent Alexander-Arnold of England’s football team was engaged in a collision with another vehicle after Storm Badet’s powerful winds caused a pylon to go over.
On a remote road close to Knutsford, Cheshire, the Liverpool defender’s Range Rover was struck on Friday morning.
Cheshire Police said no one was hurt in the collision which came as Storm Babet swept across the country – killing three people and causing widespread flooding and high winds.
A spokesperson told Sky News: “At 10.34am, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Range Rover and a BMW,”
“Nobody was injured and everything was cleared by 1.05pm.
Alexander-Arnold, 25, played in today’s Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton which kicked off at 12.30pm.
