Hawthorn Football Club has informed Lachlan Bramble, Fergus Greene and Ned Long that they will not be offered contracts until 2024.
Blackberry made 30 appearances for the brown and gold over three seasons after joining the club via the pre-2021 supplementary selection period (SSP).
Greene joined the club as an undrafted free agent at the end of 2022 and scored 15 goals in 11 games in his only season.
Long, meanwhile, made five major league appearances in his two seasons after being selected in the 2021 draft. Hawthorn National Recruiting and List Manager Mark McKenzie acknowledged the trio’s contribution.
“These decisions are never easy to make and we thank all these boys for their commitment to our football club,” McKenzie said.
“Lachy, Fergus and Ned are all popular members of our club and on behalf of everyone at Hawthorn I would like to wish them all the best in their future chapters.”
The deletions take the club’s 2023 post-season list to seven after Max Lynch decided to call it quits, while Emerson Jeka, Josh Morris and Fionn O’Hara also left the brown and gold.
Hawthorn will now turn their attention to the national draft starting on Monday, November 20.
