The quarterback for the New York Jets, sustained a torn Achilles tendon during the opening drive of the 2023 season, and has since missed the entire season. He claims he is on course to return at some point this season, but as of right now, no one knows for sure. But according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rodgers has a decent possibility of returning to Green Bay for the upcoming campaign, something that supporters have been eagerly awaiting for a very long time.

New York Jets Vs. Green Bay Packers

The Jets’ schedule will include a road game against an NFC North opponent, and many analysts think that the Green Bay Packers will be the team, making it Rodgers’ first time back at Lambeau Field since he was on the team. This is a highly anticipated game for many NFL and Packers fans, so the chances are that we will see this matchup in 2024.

In a bombshell trade that rocked the NFL world in April, Green Bay sent Rodgers to New York. The Jets selected the Packers in the first, second, and sixth rounds of the 2023 draft in addition to a conditional second-round pick in 2024. Although it hasn’t worked out for New York thus far, we will eventually learn how Rodgers performs.

Aaron Rodgers Career

Rodgers will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time when he hangs up the cleats. HE brought a Super Bowl championship to Green Bay in his time with the Packers, and he is looking to do the same with the Jets. He has amounted to 59,055 passing yards and 475 touchdowns in his career since entering the league in 2005. This is the first year he is on a different team, but he has not been able to show how he will do with another team due to his injury.

New York is currently 4-7 and in third place in the AFC East. A playoff birth seems unlikely for the team at this point in the season, but there is still time for them to turn things around. If they can go on a win streak, they could get Rodgers back in the action, which would be a huge momentum boost for the team. We will see if he will face off against his old team next season, which would be a huge moment for the veteran quarterback and Packers fans.
