After being observed in training, Callum Hudson-Odoi, a forward for Nottingham Forest, may be getting close to playing again. The Reds player suffered an injury before the match against Luton, and he has been sidelined for several weeks.
Hudson-Odoi’s time at Forest had started off fairly well. On his debut against Burnley, he brilliantly equalized the score, and he had seemed impressive overall since joining from Chelsea on deadline day.
The 23-year-old celebrated his birthday yesterday. It’s quite remarkable that Hudson-Odoi is still in his tender years and Forest might have landed a steal at just £5 million.
Hudson-Odoi spotted back in training
It was a blow to see the player break down so early into his time at the club. Hudson-Odoi will be desperate to get back on the pitch and showcase to the fans that he can scale the heights that he did at Chelsea.
Yesterday, the player was spotted back on the grass at the Nigel Doughty Academy. A number of photos were doing the rounds, whilst a number of videos appeared on TikTok of the player who celebrated his birthday yesterday.
Forest trickster Hudson-Odoi might not be back in time to face West Ham on Sunday. With an international break to follow afterwards, Steve Cooper might choose not to risk him for this weekend’s clash.
Hudson-Odoi can star at Forest
There really isn’t a better manager for Hudson-Odoi at this stage of his career than Forest boss Cooper. He called him ‘quality’ after his maiden Reds appearance against Burnley and he could now kick on again.
The immediate challenge for Hudson-Odoi at Forest is to stay fit. He suffered an Achilles problem at Chelsea and that seemed to stunt his progress a little bit and he’s not fighting to get back to his best.
