When the Boston Celtics visit the city on Friday night to play the Toronto Raptors, they might be a touch shorthanded.
Al Horford, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis have all surfaced on the injury list with uncertain statuses against Toronto.
Brown’s health status has been categorized as uncertain due to an ailment that is not COVID-19 related. Despite missing Boston’s most recent game due to sickness, he might be able to play again in Toronto.
Porzingis has also been listed as questionable with a right knee contusion. He too missed Boston’s last game.
Horford, meanwhile, is probable to play with a left big toe sprain.
For the Raptors, OG Anunoby is the only rotation player expected to miss the game. He’s still battling a right index finger laceration and has been listed as doubtful. It does not appear as though a return for Anunoby is imminent.
Gary Trent Jr. is probable to play as he works his way back from right foot plantar fasciitis. He took part in Toronto’s practice on Thursday and is expected to be ready.
It’ll be Toronto’s first in-season tournament game of the season. The Raptors are the only team in the entire league that has yet to play an in-season tournament game. Within their group, the Brooklyn Nets have already played three tournament games and sit at 2-1.
Boston is the only 1-0 club with a plus-14 point difference and presently leads Group C. If the Raptors defeated the Celtics on Friday, they would rise to the top of the standings.
