Since his arrival in Tallahassee in 2020, Mike Norvell has done an outstanding job of bringing in talent through the transfer portal, which has a significant impact on winning. Names like as Jared Verse, Jermaine Johnson, and Keon Coleman were all significant hits on the transfer portal.
The success out of the portal has leaked to high school recruiting for Norvell and his staff, as Florida State has the No. 11 recruiting class for the 2024 cycle.
This season, the Seminoles have sent plenty of talent leaving, whether to the NFL Draft or outgoing in the transfer portal. With a highly ranked class coming in, Norvell can add to his roster with transfer coming in, as he did with Seminoles legacy player Marvin Jones Jr.
Now, the Seminoles are in the mix to land a big-time receiver in the transfer portal. Evan Stewart, a former five-star wide receiver in the 2022 recruiting class, is in the market for a new team. According to Pete Nakos of On3, the Seminoles are in the mix to land Stewart, who is transferring from Texas A&M.
“I’ve heard Texas and Alabama rumored. And I’ve also been told by sources that those at not really viable options. In recent days, I’ve heard Florida State thrown out there. I’ve heard Ole Miss. I’ve heard Tennessee. I’ve heard USC. I’ve heard Oregon,” Nakos reported. “I think we’ll get a better feel in the days to come but I will tell you right now. I don’t think he lands at Texas or Alabama.”
