Throughout the remainder of the season, the Green Bay Packers are focused on winning now. The Packers still have control over their own post-season fate because of their current record of 6-7 and Saturday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came to town today, the Packers made the decision to add a young but talented wide receiver to their active roster.
The Green Bay Packers Add A 24-Year-Old Speedster To The Active Roster Prior To Their Matchup Against The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bo Melton was promoted from the practice squad to the gameday roster for Week 15. With the move announced Saturday, Melton will be available for Matt LaFleur and the Packers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
The 5-foot-11, 189-pound former Rutgers wide receiver caught 55 passes for 618 yards in 2021 as a senior in colege. At the NFL combine in Indianapolis in 2021, he ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.34 seconds.
It will be interesting to see how involved in the offensive plans Melton is, if at all. However, it is likely he will see some time on on special teams with his speed.
