Ole Miss senior tight end and team leader, confirmed his commitment to return to the Rebels for the 2024 season on Sunday evening. After three seasons at Memphis, the 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end transferred to Ole Miss last offseason.
Prieskorn has fit right into Ole Miss’ culture and has had a phenomenal first year in Oxford, but he had to deal with plenty of adversity to get through the regular season.
He started the season off suffering a foot injury that held him out of the team’s first three games, then lost his father during Ole Miss’ bye week.
Prieskorn made his Rebel debut against Alabama in Week 4. After the Rebels struggled on the ground all the way up until that point, Prieskorn was a huge factor in the ground game’s resurgence.

Towards the later stages of Ole Miss’ 2023 regular season, he started to reap the rewards from his work within the trenches. In the Rebels’ final two regular season games Prieskorn registered 10 receptions for 107 receiving yards to go with his only two touchdowns of the season.
Fourth-year Ole Miss head coach must be thrilled to have his big-body tight end returning next season, after having this to say about him during August.
“Prieskorn is fitting really well,” head coach Lane Kiffin said of his tight end transfer. “Players put him on a leadership committee already after not being here very long which says a lot. He’s extremely mature and so we’re excited about him.”
In nine games played and started, Prieskorn finished the regular season with 313 receiving yards on 20 receptions (15.6 YPC) to go along with a pair of touchdowns. He joins Jordan Watkins and JJ Pegues as the only other seniors (for now) that have announced that they will be exercising their COVID eligibility.
Kickoff for the 2023 Peach Bowl between No. 11 Ole Miss (10-2) and No. 10 Penn State (10-2) is set for 11 a.m. CT and can be seen on ESPN on Saturday Dec. 30. Ole Miss stands as 3.5-point underdogs, at the time of this writing.
