On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers suffered yet another crushing defeat. It happened again, this time at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Packers have stumbled twice after winning three straight games against the Los Angeles Chargers, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Sitting at 6-8, the Packers’ playoff chances took a major hit in the form of a 34-20 loss to Tampa Bay.  The defense, once again, was a problem area against a Baker Mayfield led offense.  Following the game, Matt LaFleur commented on Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry’s future in Green Bay.

Matt LaFleur Comments On Joe Barry’s Future With The Green Bay Packers Following 34-20 Loss To The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:

Matt LaFleur on if he’d consider an in-season change at coordinator: “Now’s not the time for that.”

Said he has to watch the film back.

CBS Sports reported that Baker Mayfield became the first visiting quarterback ever with a perfect Passer Rating (158.3) at Lambeau Field.

In total, Mayfield completed 22 of 28 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions. Mayfield played one of his best games in his career.

By winning, the Bucs improve their record to 7-7 and remain atop the NFC South. Three games remain, and the Packers, who were in the wild card spot entering today, are now on the outside looking in.  It will be interesting to see what changes (if any) are made in Green Bay after this loss.
