An Ole Miss senior wide receiver, confirmed original reports that he would be taking his talents to the next level. Wade disclosed Monday morning on SEC This Morning that he will be bypassing his last season of eligibility (COVID) to pursue his NFL dreams, an Ole Miss spokesman confirmed to Inside the Rebels.

Wade will still play in the upcoming Peach Bowl against No. 10 Penn State, which is wonderful news for Ole Miss fans. Because the game will be played in his hometown, it’s only fair that his final collegiate game will be played in front of family and friends.

The former walk-on and second-year Rebel has enjoyed a breakout 2023 season that has seen him haul in 52 receptions for 769 yards to go along with four receiving touchdowns, all of which have marked career highs.

In four seasons of college football, Wade has accumulated 1,268 yards on 101 receptions (12.6 YPC) to go along with seven career touchdowns. Most of his production and all seven of his touchdowns have come within his Rebel career (2022-23). Ole Miss fans sure will miss, but will forever have, his frequent highlight reel catches.

The 2023 Peach Bowl will mark the fourth-straight season in which Ole Miss heads to a bowl game. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT and can be seen on ESPN on Saturday Dec. 30. They are currently 1-2 in bowl games under Lane Kiffin and have appeared in the Outback Bowl (2020), Sugar Bowl (2021) and Texas Bowl (2022). Inside the Rebels will be on site for the Ole Miss’ season finale and will provide more updates, quotes and stories leading up to game day.
