UGA Football’s Kirby Smart and his assistant coaches are out and about trying to nail down another No. 1 recruiting class.

On Friday the Bulldogs’ staff traveled all through Georgia with Kirby Smart has already been to four schools in Gwinnett County before noon – Buford, North Gwinnett, Peachtree Ridge and Greater Atlanta Christan

Defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann visited Toombs County, Wilcox County and Vidalia. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo visited his childhood home with stops at Thomasville and Thomas County Central. Before that he was in Cairo and Bainbridge.

Meanwhile linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe was at Jones County, Baldwin, Washington County and Northeast (Macon). Tight ends coach Todd Hartley visited Brantley County, Charlton County, Ware County and Pierce County. Receivers coach Bryan McClendon was at Shiloh, South Gwinnett, Loganville, Archer, Brookwood and Stephenson.

Running backs coach Dell McGee attacked Atlanta – hitting up Carver, Kipp, Washington, Mays, and Therrell before heading just south of the city to drop by Tri Cities. McGee then went back into the city to visit South Atlanta. Will Muschamp visited Cedartown and Rockmart on Friday.

The Bulldogs are trying to bring in another massive recruiting class. A month ago UGA nailed down another No. 1 class for Kirby Smart. It is the third time since 2018 that Kirby has signed the No. 1 class in the nation. His last two No. 1 classes, 2018 and 2020, powered the Bulldogs to back-to-back national titles featuring players like Zamir White, Jamaree Salyer, Quay Walker, James Cook, Kearis Jackson, Devonte Wyatt, Christopher Smith, Jordan Davis Tramel Walthour, Kelee Ringo, Jalen Carter, Broderick Jones, Darnell Washington, Arian Smith, Arian Smith, Sedrick Van Pran, Nazir Stackhouse, Daijun Edwards and Ladd McConkey.
