The goal of the Georgia Bulldogs’ ongoing roster overhaul is to win their third championship in four years. They did, however, lose a top secondary recruit on Sunday, which could have an adverse effect on their defence going forward. Four-star cornerback Tae Harris has decommitted from Georgia, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports. Harris is not the first top-tier prospect from the incoming classes to back out of Georgia. Dylan Raiola (2024), a five-star prospect, also changed his pledge from Georgia to Nebraska.Harris is the 27th-ranked cornerback in the 2018 class and is a four-seat prospect according to 247Sports Composite. With offers from Colorado, Kentucky, Florida, and Georgia Tech, he will resume recruiting. The Georgian plays football for Cedartown High School. Last season, Harris had 87 carries for 421 yards and five touchdowns. He also had four touchdowns and 221 yards from ten receptions. On defence, the kid added 44 tackles and a tackle for loss. He also resulted in three errors.
Harris is a track athlete who has a personal best time of 10.73 in the 100-meter sprint. The five-foot-ten, 180-pound corner is ranked first by 247Sports for the Florida Gators.
