HOUSTON – Houston Public Works has indicated that more temporary lane closures are required to finish repairs to subsurface infrastructure.
Officials stated that the closures will begin on Friday, February 2, for work at Main Street and University Boulevard.
Officials stated that traffic diversion and reduced speed signs have been erected in the area.
Commuters and patients should plan appropriately and take other routes as personnel work hard to complete the repairs.
The temporary lane restrictions are projected to impede traffic at Texas Medical Center until the end of April 2024.
Northbound traffic on Main Street between Dryden Road and University Boulevard has been limited to two lanes.
