SADLY: After disrupting the coin toss, cornerback  of the Packers is suspended.

After disrupting the coin toss, cornerback The Green Bay Packers’ cornerback Jaire Alexander was suspended for one game on Wednesday for disruptive behaviour after he ruined the coin toss. Alexander’s mistake last week nearly lost the club a possession.

When Green Bay plays the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Alexander will not be present.

After disrupting the coin toss, cornerback The incident happened at the beginning of last Sunday’s close 33-30 victory over the Carolina Panthers by the Packers. Despite not being assigned as the game captain, Alexander participated in the coin toss at midfield and correctly called tails, but he declined to say “defer” when asked by referee Alex Kemp.

Alexander later recalled, “I told them, ‘I want our defence to be out there,’ and they all looked at me like I was crazy.” “I mean, what I stated is really basic; I just want the defence to be made public. “You mean defer?” they ask, and I respond, “Yeah, I guess.”

Kickoffs for the first and second halves would have gone to the Panthers if Kemp had not verified Alexander’s intentions.

After disrupting the coin toss, cornerback Alexander wasn’t one of the three game captains that the Packers had available. The Packers select captains on a weekly basis rather than appointing captains for the entire season. LaFleur and Alexander did not disclose if they were asked for permission to be outside for the coin toss or if it was granted. Alexander remarked, “I don’t think Coach knew I was from Charlotte.” “I mean, the guys supported me on that,” They were aware of my locality.

Despite being a two-time Pro Bowler, Alexander’s season has been hindered by a shoulder ailment. Six games (all starts) this season have yielded 26 tackles, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble for him.

Alexander hadn’t played since November 5th, when he suffered a shoulder injury against the Rams. This Sunday’s game marked his return to action. Although Alexander had been training, he was idle on game days, which raised questions about whether there was another reason why he wasn’t starting for Green Bay.

The Packers(7-8) are still vying for a spot in the wild card round. Win on Sunday against Minnesota (7-8) is imperative.
