SO SAD: It was confirmed that the head coach of Pittsbourgh is…
On Thursday, Mike Tomlin, the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, talked about his contract status and stated that a deal “will get done when it gets done.”
In contrast to his demeanour after leaving an AFC wild card game press conference following Pittsburgh’s 31-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Tomlin stated he felt better about talking about certain subjects with the media.
“Today, I feel so much better. Does anyone have any inquiries about contracts? stated Tomlin, who has one year remaining on his contract after finishing his 17th season with the organisation.
Tomlin claims that the abrupt withdrawal of his availability on Monday was due to the inappropriateness of discussing that subject at end-of-season press conferences. “Certainly could have handled that situation better than I did,” he continued.
Yes, I do plan to return. Those contract items are probably going to expire, Tomlin remarked. “I have an excellent, open relationship with Art. We speak with each other frequently and continuously. Though my focus is on coaching this team, I don’t think there will be any problems and I think it will be completed on time.”
In addition, Tomlin stated that the team, having fired Matt Canada in the middle of the season, will appoint an outside offensive coordinator.
