The Milwaukee Brewers will face the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday at spring training.
They will also see Craig Counsell, their former manager, for the first time.
As Lance Allan of TMJ4 says, it’s only spring training, so no pennants, awards, or bragging rights are at stake. However, Brewers supporters will undoubtedly be interested in how Counsell is doing with the Cubs.
Counsell told Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel shortly after leaving the Brewers that he was eager to take on a new professional challenge. Lance anticipates lots of pleasantries between the Brewers and Cubs staffs.
Things will heat up throughout the regular season, as the Brewers aim to defend their NL Central championship.
