Antonio Coleman, a four-star 2025 defensive lineman, has re-committed to Alabama after committing to Auburn for over two months. He is ranked No. 92 nationally by 247 Sports and the eighth-best defensive line prospect and 10th-best recruit in Alabama for 2025.

Coleman, who attends Saraland High School in Alabama, committed to the Tide in September before switching to Auburn in December. Freddie Roach, Alabama’s defensive line coach, continued to recruit Coleman, and he paid a visit to incoming Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer on Junior Day last month.

“Coach DeBoer, he’s kind of like that modern type (coach), you know,” Coleman told Bama247 after the visit. “You go from old school with Nick Saban to modern. I like him because he wants to win. I want to be around a winning program that wants to win. Kalen DeBoer is definitely going to continue on the legacy of ‘Bama.”

Coleman also has familiarity with new Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, who previously was the head coach at South Alabama roughly 15 minutes from Saraland.

“Me and coach (Kane) Wommack, we definitely have chemistry,” Coleman explained last month to Bama247. “In ninth grade, I used to go to the South Alabama camps all the time and talk to him. Now he’s at Alabama, which is a SEC school that is definitely in my top five. The relationship there, I can talk to him anytime I need. He’s definitely one of those guys who focuses on the academic side too. I just love being around those good people.”

Coleman informed Bama247 last month that he will graduate from high school in December and be an early enrollee next winter.

Alabama already has three players committed to their 2025 high school class, which entered Saturday ranked 38th nationally. The Tide had seven players committed to their 2025 class at one point, but five of them dropped out when Nick Saban announced his retirement in January.

Coleman played at Saraland with five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams, who reclassified to the 2024 class, signed with Alabama in February, and will join the team this summer.
