Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn revealed his top 12 on Saturday.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pound junior’s colleges include USC, Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Michigan State, Alabama, Miami, Texas, and Missouri.
Strayhorn then adds he has some springtime visits planned.
He has Florida on March 23rd, Alabama on March 26th, and Georgia on March 28th, and he intends to visit Ohio State and Miami as well, but has not established dates for those visits.
He also paid visits to the Gators in Canes during the winter months. In the fall, he went to games at Florida, Michigan, and Michigan State.
Strayhorn intends to schedule official trips at some point, although he has not established any dates yet.
He discussed his criteria for further limiting a list — he says ten or five will be the next step — before making a commitment.
“The program’s culture, who the coaches are, how they develop the center position and interior offensive line, who they’ve sent to the NFL, how they coach, and what kind of offense they run. Who they play against is also important. I believe the Big Ten and SEC are the strongest conferences, but the only reason I wouldn’t go either is Miami,” he remarked.
Strayhorn said that he and his parents have discussed when he will commit, but nothing is written in stone, and he is still open to options both before and after his senior season.
There are currently no 247Sports Crystal Ball picks for him.
Strayhorn, a native of Michigan, played at Detroit Catholic Central.
