A quarterback run is expected early on Day 1 as the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots prepare for a new era at the position.
Bowers might wind up in the Kansas City Chiefs’ lap at No. 32 if teams are concerned about his health after failing to work out at the NFL Combine or Georgia’s most recent Pro Day. Bowers competes on the field in front of scouts on April 10 to earn a first-round grade.
Former Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy continues to rise in the pre-draft rankings. Last month, Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh rated McCarthy the finest at his position this cycle and predicted he’d finish in the top ten, as does this current mock.

Now that the Bears have moved on from Justin Fields and received little in return, Caleb Williams is the logical choice to be the franchise’s savior. However, do not seek Deion Sanders’ perspective on the subject. The Colorado coach actively encouraged Williams to look away from Chicago and try to play somewhere with warmer temperatures. Williams is eager to get started at the next level and stated last month that he has no preference on where he is selected. Contrary to prior claims that Williams wanted to play for a certain team, specifically Washington with former USC analyst Kliff Kingsbury, one of the most gifted players recently stated that Chicago would be a good fit.
