Alabama football has some running backs throughout the Nick Saban era who took great delight in their offseason conditioning before defeating opponents on the field.

Fans remember names such as Trent Richardson and Derrick Henry for their dedication to the weight room. Najee Harris perfected his power, speed, agility, versatility, and hurdling skills with a trainer. Justice Haynes, a former five-star, enters his sophomore campaign for the University of Alabama. He carries a unique blend of former Tide standouts in his game, including Harris, Bo Scarbrough, and Josh Jacobs. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder possesses incredible contact balance, vision, cutback abilities, speed, and versatility as a receiver. He made an impact last year in spring practice, and the native Georgian totaled 168 yards rushing with two touchdowns on 25 carries.

Haynes had a few very nice runs in the Rose Bowl matchup against Michigan, collecting 31 yards on four attempts. He took on a leadership role this spring as more will be required of him.

Haynes is excited about the one, two punch he and Jam Miller will provide out the backfield, but Haynes knows he’s bringing pain to defenses.

He’s returned to work with Marquell Beckwith of Beckwith Sports Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.

Beckwith has been instrumental in making Haynes stand out throughout his time as a backup. The two have practiced reading and reacting, front side/back side reads with vertical leap cuts, hop cuts, spinning, and forceful sticking while remaining in control.
