The Cincinnati Bengals have officially begun their summer volunteer training at Paycor Stadium. In recent months, the Bengals have made two trade requests: Tee Higgins and Trey Hendrickson. Since Hendrickson’s trade request, he has reported to voluntary practices and has openly stated his desire to stay in Cincinnati indefinitely and bring a Super Bowl back to the 5-1-3.
With the Bengals star pass rusher’s return to Paycor Stadium, Hendrickson has opened up with the entire situation that unfolded last month.
During the time period of Hendrickson’s request, quarterback Joe Burrow openly showed his support for Hendrickson and Tee Higgins.
“Both those guys have earned everything that has come to them and more. I’ll support them all the way through it. Whatever they feel like is best for their career. That’s for them and their agents and their families to decide,” said Burrow.
Hendrickson very much appreciated those remarks.
It means a lot whenever somebody that talented has your back,” Hendrickson stated. “Obviously, he’s (Burrow) at the top of his game, and I strive to be at the top of mine year in and year out. Very similar, like-minded, hardworking players.”
It is amazing to see Hendrickson back in Cincinnati. The Bengals are light-years better with their star edge rusher, who is coming off a 17.5 sack season, ready to roll for 2024.
