The Alabama Crimson Tide hosted Wake Forest cornerback DaShawn Jones this weekend, and the redshirt sophomore seemed to enjoy his visit. Jones was so pleased with his visit that Matt Zenitz of 247Sports claims that he will announce his decision to move to Alabama.
Jones is a former 3-star prospect from Baltimore, Maryland, in the Class of 2021. He redshirted his first season at Winston-Salem but saw considerable playing time as a redshirt freshman, appearing in 12 games. The 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back started nine games as a redshirt sophomore, leading the team with three interceptions.
In total he’s tallied 60 tackles with 10 pass breakups and three interceptions in two seasons of action.
