According to ESPN, the San Francisco 49ers have finally improved their tight end group after the Detroit Lions decided to keep Brock Wright. According to the rumor, the 49ers are signing Logan Thomas, a former Washington Commanders tight end. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Lions matched the 49ers’ offer sheet for Wright, a three-year, $12 million contract, highlighting the importance of Wright’s role in their offense, particularly after dealing away T.J. Hockenson in 2022.

Reacting to the Lions’ move, the 49ers have secured the services of former Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas on a one-year contract.
