Jesse Myers, a defensive lineman for Santa Rosa Cardinal Newman in California, has committed to Oregon State.
Myers paid a formal visit to Oregon State over the weekend.
“The visit was great, we all had a great time with the coaches and the area,” Myers told me.
Myers said he loved Corvallis.
“The one thing that stood out to me the most was the beautiful campus and facilities,” said Myers. “I had a great impression of the community revolving around the team and the facilities were very nice and seemed either new or well maintained.”
He was also a fan of the Beaver coaches he met with.
“I met with coach (Ilaisa) Tuiaki and coach (Trent) Bray,” said Myers. “The conversations were thorough and honest. We talked about where I fit into their scheme and what I would be playing.”
Myers was among the other players and prospects.
“My host was Kouny Deng and some other players I was with were Brian Tapu from New Zealand and Nathan Nyandoro,” according to Myers.
Myers, a three-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, is the No. 98 edge nationally and the No. 109 player in California, with 247Sports projecting him as the No. 117 edge in the country and the No. 133 player in California in 2025.
