Paige Bueckers, a UConn guard, is gearing up for a memorable 2024-25 NCAA season. Bueckers returned to the court in 2023 after suffering a severe ACL injury that sidelined her the previous season. And her 21.9 points per game for the Huskies last season shows that she didn’t lose a beat following the injury. While UConn’s 2023-24 season did not finish with a championship, they advanced to the Final Four before falling to Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes.
But now Bueckers and Company are eager to get Geno Auriemma his 12th NCAA Championship.
And a recent workout video from Bueckers will have Huskies fans feeling optimistic.
Bueckers spent the weekend coaching for Overtime Select, which is a women’s basketball league for the world’s best high school talent.
But Bueckers was also putting her own work in.
A series of Instagram videos from Overtime’s account showed Bueckers working on her game over the weekend.
One of the films shows Bueckers flexing her handles, with the tagline “She got the Kyrie pace”. Bueckers’ favorite player is Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving, so she’s bound to enjoy this comparison. UConn fans must be liking it as well.
