Knox Kiffin, the son of Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin, has received two more scholarship offers following his recent camp performance in Dallas. The 2028 Palos Verdes (Calif.) quarterback received his first offer earlier this year from Division II program Mississippi College, but SMU and Arkansas State have already offered offers to the younger Kiffin after he made an impression. Knox Kiffin posted on Instagram that the Mustangs, now members of the ACC, offered him a scholarship, which came from new quarterbacks coach D’Eriq King, who played at Houston before retiring at Miami in 2021.
Knox Kiffin told Inside The Rebels that he has no desire to play for his father in Oxford and would rather compete with him on an opponent squad. Knox Kiffin stated his father is happy of his progress as his recruiting grows. “I’m just going to keep working,” said Knox Kiffin, who will be a high school freshman in the fall. “I want to learn a lot moving into this high school year, get some varsity reps, and simply grow into my frame. I’m going to continue working and hoping to get more opportunities.”
