Motorsports power couple Leah Pruett and Tony Stewart are going to be parents.
Pruett, who stepped away from her Top Fuel ride with Tony Stewart Racing prior to the start of the 2024 season so she and Tony could start a family, announced the latest news on her social media Monday night.
The couple is expecting a son in November.
Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Champion, is driving for Pruett this season in the NHRA Mission Drag Racing Series, where he is presently ninth in the Top Fuel standings and competing for one of the ten berths in the Countdown to the Championship Playoffs. Stewart owns the NHRA squad, which also features defending Funny Car champion Matt Hagan. Stewart, 53, and Pruett, 36, got married in November 2021. Pruett stated that she intends to continue her NHRA driving career after starting a family.
Stewart will be in action this weekend for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Norwalk, Ohio.
