New York Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins (18) celebrates a first down during the second half of an NFL football game against the Dallas Cowboys, Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, in Arlington, Texas. Dallas won 49-17.

Isaiah Hodgins hopes for a bounce back season as he prepares for the 2024 season. The New York Giants wide receiver and former Oregon State Beavers’ star entered the 2023 season with high expectations but exited with a disappointing campaign.

Hodgins finished the 2023 season with 21 receptions for 230 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games. The numbers were a decline compared to 2022, where Hodgins posted 33 receptions for 351 yards and four touchdowns.

Not everyone has soured on Hodgins; yardbarker.com’s Bruce Ewing named him one of three New York Giants players who could have a rebound year in 2024.

After the Giants picked him up off waivers midway through the 2022 season, Hodgins grabbed four touchdown passes in his final five regular season games and then posted a huge performance – eight catches for 105 yards and a touchdown – in the Giants’ 31-24 wild card win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Hodgins’ production left Giants fans excited about his potential for the 2023 season, but like the rest of the Giants’ offense, he struggled.

Hodgins’ numbers declined in part because of the absence of quarterback Daniel Jones. Hodgins had developed strong chemistry with Jones, but the quarterback suffered a season-ending neck injury during the Giants’ Week 12 win against the Eagles.
