Alabama fans don’t need to worry about Caleb Cunningham jumping ship. The five-star wide receiver committed to the Crimson Tide on July 13, but he had plans to visit Auburn on Saturday for Big Cat Weekend, the school’s premier recruiting event.
“Shoot, I’m locked in for real. I’m not going anywhere,” Cunningham told BamaOnLine last week. “I might take other visits just to have fun and get out of the house, but I’m definitely really committed to Bama.”
Cunningham will be in Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s cookout event on Sunday. There, he plans to further his relationship with some of his fellow 2025 commits.
“Really, building a relationship with them,” Cunningham said of his upcoming visit. “It’s always good to start building that relationship up with your future teammates in your class. Just chopping it up with them. Things like that.”
Cunningham is rated as the third-best wide receiver in the 2025 class and the 22nd-best recruit in the country, per 247Sports. The Ackerman, Mississippi product set school records at Choctaw County High School with 1,138 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns last year.
Alabama currently has the 2nd-ranked recruiting class in the country for 2025, per 247Sports, with Cunningham joining three other five-star recruits. New head coach Kalen DeBoer has been knocking it out of the park in his first recruiting cycle with the Crimson Tide.
