Perhaps no NFL team is hotter right now as far as its ascension than the Green Bay Packers.

After facing low expectations a year ago following the trade of franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they won six of their last eight regular season games and rode the hot play of new QB Jordan Love to the divisional round of the playoffs.

Everyone seems to be high on the Packers’ potential right now, and while on ESPN’s “Get Up,” former defensive back Ryan Clark made a huge, bold claim about what Love will accomplish.

“The Green Bay Packers can have more success as a team with Jordan Love than they did under Brett Favre or with Aaron Rodgers,” said Clark, and by that, he meant Love can win at least two Super Bowl championships.

Love finished 2023 with 4,159 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns, and he ranked seventh and second, respectively, in those categories.

Down the stretch of the regular season, he was red-hot, and he threw 18 touchdown passes against just one interception in the last eight games of the schedule.

On Friday, Lovel landed a contract extension that will pay him $220 million over four years, which in effect guaranteed he will be the Packers’ quarterback for the foreseeable future.

One knock against both Rodgers and Favre is that they each won just one Vince Lombardi Trophy while coming up short numerous times in the playoffs despite having a strong roster around them, and Clark strongly believes Love won’t repeat that pattern in the years to come.

Despite what Love may or may not accomplish, this is definitely a beautiful time to be a Cheesehead.
