The Green Bay Packers once trailed 28-0 against the Minnesota Vikings in the game. Green Bay almost made a furious comeback, but they lost to the Minnesota Vikings 31-29.

One of the biggest stories in the game once again despite trailing big was the field goal kicking. Brayden Narveson missed two field goals in the first half from 37 yards and 49 yards. This will be a story for the Packers entering Week 5.

Green Bay Packers Fans React To Matt LaFleur Doubling Down On Kicker Brayden Narveson

After the game was over, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about the field goal kicker, who has missed four kicks in four games. He told Matt Schneidman of The Athletic after the game was over:

“I got a lot of confidence and wouldn’t blink if I had to put him out there in another situation.”

This quote did not sit well with the Packers fanbase. They were frustrated with him enough during the first half. LaFleur added fuel to the fire. This is what Green Bay fans said:

Narverson was with the Tennessee Titans in training camp. Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph, along with other kickers were in Green Bay Packers training camp competing for the job before Brayden Narverson was brought in.

Greg Joseph Goes 5-For-5 On Thursday For the New York Giants

It was a surprise when Greg Joseph was not kept by the Green Bay Packers before the start of the 2024 season. He went to the Detroit Lions practice squad before the New York Giants brought him to the active 53-man roster because of the Graham Gano injury.

Despite the Giants losing 20-15 against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, Greg Joseph made 5-of-5 field goals. Had the Packers made one of those field goals earlier in the game, they would be 3-1, along with the Minnesota Vikings right now. Instead, Minnesota is 4-0 on the season and Green Bay is 2-2. If Brayden Narveson keeps this up, there will be more questions about the Packers kicking game.
