These days, Pink Floyd only features two of its original members. David Gilmour and Nick Mason are holding down the fort, though the band isn’t exactly very active at the moment. The two musicians are, instead, focused on their solo careers, and this week, the former earns a new smash success in the U.S. with his latest project.

Gilmour’s Luck and Strange debuts inside the top 10 on five different Billboard charts. That’s an impressive start for the rocker’s first set on his own in nearly a decade. Members of famous bands don’t always enjoy such warm welcomes–especially in the U.S., and after so much time has passed since the last time they doled out a project–but Gilmour’s fan base is apparently still huge.

Luck and Strange starts its time on two of those five charts at No. 1. The set launches atop the Vinyl Albums list, as well as the Top Album Sales ranking. Luminate reports that Gilmour’s latest arrives with 30,300 copies sold in America.

The same effort comes close to reaching the summit on another genre-specific roster, though it misses out on ruling by just a few spaces. Luck and Strange is new at No. 3 on the Top Rock Albums chart this frame.

Gilmour’s latest solo effort nearly matches that showing on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally, which operates in a very similar manner to the Top Rock Albums list, though with more titles included. On that chart, Luck and Strange enters at No. 4.

Luck and Strange also barely breaks into the top 10 on another, even more important chart. Gilmour starts his new solo project at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, narrowly earning another special win.

In its first tracking frame, Luck and Strange moved a total of 32,000 equivalent units. That sum is made up almost entirely of actual purchases, though sales of individual tunes from the set, as well as plays on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, also helped bring it to the loftiest arena on the competitive albums ranking.

Gilmour isn’t new to the top 10 on any of the aforementioned charts, though he hasn’t appeared inside that region on many of them for quite a long time. Luck and Strange marks his first No. 1 on both the Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums rankings, and it’s one of several top 10s on the other rosters as well.
