Joey Logano and Matt Kenseth’s fierce playoff rivalry in 2015 culminated in a dramatic incident at Martinsville Speedway. Kenseth, seeking payback, intentionally wrecked Logano, severely affecting his rival’s chances of advancing to the season finale.

The story begins in the Round of 12, where Logano won the first race at Charlotte, securing his spot in the next round. It was the second race where the protagonists first collided. Kenseth, in a must-win situation to advance, was leading with less than 10 laps remaining for the checkered flag.Logano caught up to the back bumper of Kenseth’s #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota but struggled to make a clean pass, as Kenseth continuously blocked his moves. Running out of patience, Logano gave Kenseth a nudge, causing him to spin out, and clinched back-to-back race wins.
