As the college football season is heating up with upsets and marquee wins, recruiting is still taking place. News from On3 predicts a flip may be incoming soon, which will favor the Crimson Tide.

2025 three-star tight end Marshall Pritchett, from Rabun Gap, Georgia, has been committed to North Carolina since March of this year, but On3’s Steve Wiltfong predicted that the three-star prospect will flip his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

As Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class has soared as one of the best in the nation, this pickup certainly would not hurt that status.

247Sports’ Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins offered an evaluation of Pritchett back in March and stated this about his skill set: “Athletic tight end prospect with quality ball skills that excels as a two-level pass catcher. Started his prep career off playing quarterback before changing positions and moving out wide. Size hasn’t been third-party verified, but is believed to be over 6-foot-4 with a more projectable frame. Uses high football IQ to take advantage of zone coverage and has proven to be rather competitive in catch-and-run situations. Owns limited in-line experience, but is a willing blocker out on the perimeter and should get only more effective as a lead escort with improved play strength. Projects as an F-tight end on Saturdays that can line up in the wing or in the slot and create mismatches. Likely will need a developmental year or two to get the body right, but has a chance to make an impact at the Power Four level with his receiving acumen.”
