You’ll be hard pushed to find an offensive recruit who talks about Alabama without mentioning JaMarcus Shephard. The man who holds three titles — assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator, and wide receivers coach — brings boundless energy to the practice facilities and onto the field. Top receiver prospects such as Caleb Cunningham, CJ Wiley, and Travis Smith Jr. have raved about him following visits.

The latest talk with another 2025 pass-catcher produced the same conclusions. Marcus Harris (Santa Ana, CA) returned to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for a two-day stay. This is his second visit to campus since the coaching change, and the third as a prospect. In addition, he already has an official visit scheduled for May 31.

The bond between the Mater Dei (Calif.) High School standout and the new staff has been built for some time. Harris was actively recruited while at Washington by Kalen DeBoer, Shephard, and general manager Courtney Morgan.

Bama247 got up with him after the weekend visit to get his thoughts on his experience at The Capstone.
