Carlo Ancelotti will be replaced at the end of the season by Roberto De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton, according to Real Madrid. Ancelotti, a 64-year-old former manager of Chelsea and Everton, has agreed to depart the Bernabéu Stadium at the conclusion of this season and will lead Brazil’s national team.

The replacement has been a top priority for Madrid president Florentino Perez, and according to Spanish media station Cadena SER, De Zerbi is unquestionably on the shortlist.

In his first year at Brighton, the Italian has made an impression. In the previous campaign, he led them to sixth place in the Premier League and their first-ever Europa League qualification. Albion has had a similarly strong start to the season, winning five of their first six games. They are currently in third place, only behind champions Man City and second-placed Liverpool.

The football’s style, which Brighton presently plays as one of the most attractive and offensive in all of Europe, has impressed. De Zerbi, who has prior managerial experience with Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk, has also been mentioned as a potential Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola replacement at Man City.

Madrid has been added to the list of probable suitors for De Zerbi, who is anticipated to be in high demand. De Zerbi, 44, has a deal with Brighton that runs until June 2026, and his typical tenure as manager is 1.24 years, per www.transfermarkt.co.uk.

Madrid is reportedly considering Xabi Alonso, a former midfielder for Real Madrid and Liverpool. Currently in charge at Bayer Leverkusen, the former Spain international led the German team to sixth place in the Bundesliga last season, securing Europa League qualifying.
