Tyrese Haliburton was compelled to take a victory lap after the Indiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in their intense first-round playoff series.

At Indianapolis, Indiana’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Pacers crushed the Milwaukee Bucks 120-98 in Game 6 on Thursday night to end the team’s campaign. Following the game, Haliburton ridiculed Bucks legend Patrick Beverley on social media.

Beverley was asked earlier in the series what he has seen from Haliburton while defending the Pacers star. Beverley responded “nothing” and told reporters to check the numbers.

Following Indiana’s win in Game 6, Haliburton shared a video of Beverley making those comments and captioned it “Con man. Flip from above the rim.”

Haliburton alluded to the long-standing animosity between Damian Lillard and Beverley in his caption. Before Beverley was traded to Milwaukee, he was a rival of Lillard’s, and the two engaged in a public verbal sparring match during the 2020 NBA bubble season.

Even after a game last season, when Beverley exaggerated his defensive effort against Lillard, they were still at it. In response, Lillard used X to call Beverley a “con man” and compare him to Bernie Mac’s character “Flip” from the 1994 basketball film “Above the Rim.”

Though Haliburton wanted to make sure that everyone remembered, it appears like Beverley and Lillard set aside their disagreements when Beverley was dealt to Milwaukee a few months ago.
