The Detroit Lions made a splash draft pick in the first round of the NFL Draft in Detroit by taking Alabama All-American cornerback Terrion Arnold.

After Detroit decided to select him at pick No. 24 overall, NFL Films released an audio of him telling the world how he wants to be remembered once his career is over.

“I want to be remembered as the greatest cornerback to ever play this game,” Arnold said.

This is the type of mindset that a city like Detroit absolutely loves.

This is also the type of mindset that head coach Dan Campbell has instilled in the organization since he first stepped foot in the Motor City.

Arnold recorded five interceptions and 12 pass deflections in 2023 en route to a First-Team All-SEC nod.

He brings a bucket of talent to defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn’s unit.

He also joins great, young pieces such as Pro Bowl edge-rusher Aidan Hutchinson, former Alabama teammate and safety Brian Branch, All-Rookie linebacker Jack Campbell, and a few other key players.

However, this team also finished 26th in pass defense.

They needed help, and they found it in the form of Arnold.

This Lions are coming off of their first 12-win season since 1991, along with their first NFC Championship Game appearance since that year as well.

It was also their first time winning the NFC North in the division’s history, which goes back over 20 years.

Campbell’s team is ready to win a Super Bowl right now, and their selection of Arnold proves just that.
