Blake Hardwick and Will Day of Hawthorn have got coaches’ votes for their performances in their team’s one-point loss to Yartapuulti on Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Oval.

Hardwick was the equal highest-ranked player on the ground, receiving eight votes, courtesy to his career-high five majors.

The 27-year-old also had 23 disposals, nine scoring opportunities, six marks, four tackles, and 526 yards gained.

Teammate Day was awarded two votes for his contributions against the Power.

The 22-year-old had arguably his greatest game since recovering from a foot injury, with 27 disposals, five tackles, five clearances, four marks, and 534 yards gained.

The star midfielder finished the day with a spectacular goal in the third quarter, spinning around two Yartapuulti opponents and slotting in his first major of the year.

The Hawks will now aim to get back to winning ways against Brisbane at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon as part of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
